Child Find For Students In Need Of Special Services

    The Wayne County Board of Education offers a full program for persons with handicaps that fall between the age of three (3) and twenty-two (22). To be eligible for the program a person must show a deficit in one of the following areas:  autism, deafness/hearing impairment, mental retardation, speech or language impairment, blindness/visual impairment, emotional disturbance, orthopedic impairment, traumatic brain injury, other health impairments, specific learning disabilities, and developmental delays.  A person may also qualify for special services if identified as being gifted.
